Braking System(Brake sebelum terlambat)hehehe

VEHICLE BRAKING SYSTEM..

Purpose:

• to slow down or stop the vehicle.
• to hold the vehicle in the chosen position.

Function:

• to convert kinetic energy into heat energy.
• It does so through the friction at the brake linings and the brake drum,or the brake pads and the disc.

Types of brakes;

1. Drum brake
2. Disc brake

That picture shown Brake Pad.

This one is disc brake.

• The road wheel is attached to the disc and the slowing down or stopping action is achieved by the clamping action of the brake pads on the disc.
• In this brake the disc is gripped by the two friction pads.
• When hydraulic pressure is applied to the hyraulic cylinder in the caliper body,the pressure acts on the piston and pushes the brake pad into contact with the disc.
